Leucine

energy+sport

Leucine is a branched-chain amino acid essential for growth, which cannot be manufactured in the body: thus, it can only be obtained via dietary sources. As a group, leucine, isoleucine and valine, in addition to promoting normal body growth, these three amino acids help the repair of tissue, regulate blood sugar and provide the body with energy. Leucine easily converts to glucose and is therefore very effective for preventing muscle breakdown or loss.

Leucine may be helpful in repairing tissue damage from Liver disease and from the damaging effects of alcohol.
