I have recently been eating more raw food- that is, more than I do normally (as I have always had a good diet of salads). I was particularly inspired by watching “Raw For 30 days” DVD, which tracks the success of a willing group of selected Diabetics- both Type 1 and Type 2.
I have no idea why I had to watch it, as Diabetes is not a concern for me or my family, but it somehow drew me in. I wondered- if such extreme conditions of Diabetes could be healed, then how much healing could follow this blueprint? Why do we overlook our diet so much when we think of healing? How many people don’t pay attention to what they eat just because they don’t seem to have anything really wrong with them?
What if we all stopped listening to major advertising campaigns and starting thinking for ourselves about what we put in our mouths? What if we just ate colourful food from the ground and not from a colourful packet?
In ‘Raw for 30 days” it is amazing to witness the individual transformations as they go ‘cold turkey’ onto raw food, no meat, no dairy, no wheat and best of all no sugar. Very gutsy I am sure, but good on them for pushing boundaries just to see if they could make a difference.
In addition, Dr Gabriel Cousens prescIribes vitamins, although I don’t think tell you which ones. All of the people featured go through their own individual life changing exploration which goes way beyond just achieving a correction in their blood sugar, losing weight and gaining a ‘glow’. They also transform their way of thinking and this seems to change their whole purpose in life. Truly amazing to watch! Can you imagine what we could all achieve if we could all think clearer? We would do everything better- we would be happier, treat other people better, think positive good thoughts and get on with a fantastic energetic life. You may even get to see a magnificent person inside of you that you may never have otherwise met.
Show it to your kids and change their lives as well- let them see the possibilities. Even my kids complained when I told them what it was about (oh Mum how boring! not another educational DVD!!) , yet even though it was really late, they could not stop watching it! Go out and get it now and tell everyone you know!!
